| Autumn over the River Severn and High Rock from Bridgnorth's Castle Walk |
Summer nights seem far away.
As eve comes quickly from the day
An artist’s dream, Autumn does display.
Look around, at natures gleam
How they blend and scheme
They cannot match, or go together
Our programmed minds, scramble and blether.
Just open your mind, see them for real.
Decadent reds, with hues of blue, burnt apple greens, and
bruises of purple
Pinks of Orange, and fire blue browns, with Glaucous hues
and accents of teal,
The results are real, you will be amazed.
But you’ll never see the same again.
Take pictures in your mind, and you will never forget.
Our wonderful Autumn days yet to be met.

This contains a nice parade of colours, Jayne; I liked the phrase "burnt apple greens". Interesting reading.

Agree Nature challenges our ore conceptions about colour! Very vivid poem.
It's surprising how summer feels far away once autumn is here, even though this autumn has been strangely warm. I love your suggestion of blue browns; an imaginative poem Jane.
