Remembrance by Elizabeth Obadina

 Thinking of the dead

In drizzly celebration

In nineteen eighteen.

Today the sun shines.

But twenty twenty three wars

Kill children, few men.

Put children’s lives first

A young man from Palestine

Taught long, long ago.
